What a fabulous NYE we had! This may be our favorite group holiday. It's my personal fav. Unafraid to try new things, we opted to leave out favorite Mercury Room in Houston and head to ATX! We’ve spent a lot of time there this past year for birthdays and engagements and bachelorette parties and weddings—but we can’t get enough!

On Saturday we met for brunch at the Eastside Café. Laura Bundy-Carroll was able to make the trek down and Carosa managed to switch her schedule at work around so everyone was there! This year we decided to collect items to donate to a local ATX community agency called Life Works. I was so proud of all of the fun things everyone bought and all of the clothes people donated! Shea, Kelli and I packed Kelli’s Blazer full of stuff and we drove the three hours with barely any breathing room! It was great though.

Sirena did a fab job of planning NYE for us this year (and even though one of her NY resolutions is not to plan, she may have to go back to her old ways because she’s good at it). She got us a great suite downtown and was able to score FOUR cookies at check-in. Holla! And PS ladies: The suite was the best thing ever for us—we had plenty of room to get ready and play!

Of course no trip to ATX is complete without a visit to Z’Tejas. Sheavon and I were both feeling a little under the weather and so by Sandy Borrego’s advisement we opted out of the margaritas and both drank Sprite on ice, straight up. Our favorite Gary made an appearance too, I love that he’s not afraid of five OOC girls.

The pre-party! Kelli was our party promoter and made sure everyone had a drink in their hand was up and dancing. Sirena took care of the tunes, Shea and I made sure to take incredible amounts of ridiculous pictures of everyone—well, I did, Shea took a lot of herself.

Then on to Cuba Libre! It was great fun. Lots of dancing, lots of falling (who has that picture!?) and lots of midnight makeout. Well, not too much, but enough!

Happy 2007! It’s going to be a great year. I promise to keep up with our new picture blog!
